TOP ENERGY AND TECHNOLOGY is a private limited company (SPRL) established on April 28, 2020. It is registered at RC: 24982/20 and its tax identification number is 4001464819. The company operates in the solar energy sector and has already completed several supply and installation projects for solar energy equipment. Our customers include organizations as well as private households.
Our product range comprises solar panels, batteries, converters, and charge regulators of different sizes and power levels. Since July 2024, through the Solar Energy and Cooking Fund (FESEC), TOP ENERGY & TECHNOLOGY (TE&T) has signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Water, Energy and Mines. In accordance with this agreement, TE&T participates in the distribution of off-grid solar products (SHR) throughout the country.
These SHR products consist largely of solar kits in different sizes (small, medium, large, extra large) whose uses range from a single light point to five light points, while integrating phone charging features, as well as serving as an FM radio and music player.
TE&T maintains strategic partnerships with a network of independent distributors located in BUJUMBURA and across the country in areas such as MWARO, RUTANA, and MAKAMBA. They are selected for their expertise in community financial systems, an important factor facilitating access to solar products.

TE&T's main mission is to market and install innovative, high-quality and affordable solar products, while strengthening the capacities of young people to enable them to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs.

Provide inclusive access to clean and sustainable energy to rural communities in Burundi, through unlimited technological opportunities and innovative business models.
Primary Objectives
Contribute to the national policy on access to electrical energy, by providing modern, efficient, and durable energy products and services for rural and peri-urban populations, particularly in the communes of MWARO, RUTANA, MAKAMBA, and BUJUMBURA.
Ensure the availability of innovative and affordable solar products for approximately 9000 households over a 3-year period, and distribute them in the action zones, at a rate of 3000 households each year.
Make our contribution so that children in rural areas can have an affordable and green kit to study during family hours without risk of harming their vision.
Contribute to the fight against unemployment through job creation in the solar energy sectors, and provide training encouraging youth entrepreneurship, with a particular emphasis on female entrepreneurship.
Contribute up to 15% to the objective of the Nyakiriza Solar project to distribute solar kits to 65000 households.
Establish a sustainable management mechanism (supply, distribution, operation, maintenance, etc.) for solar energy services placed on the market
Operational Strategy
Source VERASOL certified quality solar products, according to specific customer needs;
Conduct marketing and communication activities on solar products for sale;
Extend partnerships with organizations working with rural communities and formalize agreements (MoU) with rural microfinance institutions (MFIs) to facilitate access to credit for the purchase of solar products
Organize training campaigns for staff/distribution networks on technical aspects (installation, use, maintenance, and after-sales services) of the solar products concerned.
Respect gender proportions during recruitment and training to be organized, so that women contribute to the penetration of commercialized solar products.
Train a maintenance agent for each distribution zone.

We operate using a multi-tasking system, meaning that key personnel take on more than one task, while ensuring that this does not create conflicting collaboration.
The company is managed by a Managing Director, who ensures operational functioning and administrative representation. He reports directly to the Board of Directors.
